DENISON, TX -- Back in April, 70 sailboats raced across Lake Texoma to raise money for children.

The 26th annual Lakefest Regatta was a success. The Texoma Sailing Club raised more than $30,000.

The money raised was presented this morning to the Make-a-Wish Foundation. The sailing club has helped the North Texas Chapter grant wishes for three years now.

It recently helped a Texoma boy meet football star Payton Manning.

"We have plaques and everything and a story in the clubhouse so everybody gets to see it and read it and it's really something that makes us feel good every year when we are able to give these donations," said Texoma Sailing Club Commodore Pete Nitsche.

The North Texas Make-a-Wish chapter just granted it's 7,000 wish, and is set to grant 500 more this year.
