ARDMORE, OK - A Lone Grove woman accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from her former employer entered a plea of not guilty.

District Attorney Craig Ladd said 51-year-old Pamela Gibson Matthews, charged with embezzlement, waived her right to a preliminary hearing yesterday.

Ardmore Police said Matthews embezzled more than $200,000 from the Day Concrete company.

Court documents show Matthews admitted she took the money for her own use and apologized when she was first confronted by her employer.

Jail officials said Matthews is currently out on a O.R. bond.

She is expected back in court March 7th.

Our calls to Day Concrete were not returned.
