Thunderstorms will continue to dump heavy rainfall into mid-evening. Watch out for flooded roads as soils are saturated and run-off is high. There's still the threat of an isolated hail or wind core, but the odds are quite low due to rain-cooled air.
GRAYSON COUNTY, TX -- The first round of ramp closures near the Loy Lake Bridge construction project are now underway and TxDOT reminds drivers to be safe.
"We are just asking that drivers in this area please slow down, expect lane closures and delays at all times and to pay attention to signs and flaggers that are going to be redirecting traffic," says TxDOT spokeswoman, Becky Ozuna.
This first construction area is located just south of the bridge.
These construction zones will be completed one at a time, spanning a week each until the project is complete.
The construction will take place Mondays through Fridays for about 35 weeks.
