1 killed in crash on icy Interstate 35 in Okla.

MARIETTA, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says an Ardmore man was killed when the pickup truck he was riding in skidded off icy Interstate 35 near Marietta in southern Oklahoma.

The OHP says 25-year-old Rusty Sherman was pronounced dead at an Ardmore hospital following the single-vehicle crash about 1:45 a.m. Saturday.

Troopers say Sherman was a passenger in a southbound pickup that skidded off the interstate and overturned. The OHP says the driver was not injured and two other passengers were treated and released at a Marietta hospital.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation reports slick and hazardous roads and bridges across southern Oklahoma on Saturday.

The National Weather Service said no additional storms are expected Saturday - but temperatures will remain at or below freezing and no melting is expected.
