Man accused of hitting and killing Deputy Key trial re-scheduled

SHERMAN, TEXAS -- The murder trial has been rescheduled for the man suspected of drinking and driving, then hitting and killing Grayson County Deputy Chad Key.

Rickey Trent Stanley's trial was supposed to start October 14th, but has been re-scheduled for February 3rd.

District Attorney Joe Brown says Stanley's defense attorney requested more time to gather expert witnesses for trial.

Stanley pleaded not guilty to murder, intoxication manslaughter, four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, DWI and driving with an invalid license.
