Man charged in shooting death of a Melissa mother

COLLIN CO., TX -- Six months after a teenage boy found his mother shot dead in her Melissa, Texas home authorities have charged a Frisco man with capital murder.

The Melissa Police Department, Texas Rangers, and US Marshals arrested Michael Kevin Adams on friday.

His bond was set at $10 million dollars.

Adams is accused of killing his ex-fiance, Nicole Leger, on September 9th, 2013.

According to the arrest warrant, physical evidence at the murder scene tied Adams to the crime.

Leger's son said Adams had threatened to kill his mother and was out on bond for pending aggravated sexual assault charge and unlawful restraint charges she brought against him in March 2013.

Adams is currently being held at the Collin County Sheriff's Office Detention Center.
