PITTSBURG COUNTY, OK -- Manslaughter charges have been filed against a Pittsburg County man for allegedly backing over his girlfriend in his truck, killing her.
A court affidavit states Benny Williams was arrested for first degree manslaughter.
Williams told authorities on November first he got into an argument with his girlfriend at his home in Hartshorne and got into his pickup
He said when he backed up he "felt something bump", heard his girlfriend yell stop, then pulled forward.
Williams says he asked a passerby to call 911.
A witness told authorities she heard the screech of tires and screaming, then went outside. She saw a woman lying on the driveway and Williams standing next to her.
Williams is due back in court next month.
