MARSHALL COUNTY, OK -- Marshall County residents whose addresses were changed for the new E-911 system are being asked to make sure everyone who sends them mail knows their new address.
E-911 Coordinator Deborah PennyPacker says starting July 18th the post office will no longer forward mail to residents' new addresses. Pennypacker says addresses were changed for community members who live outside the city limits to coordinate with the new 911 system.
"With our enhanced 911 we went through and re-addressed the county so during that we eliminated duplicate road names throughout the county," PennyPacker said.
PennyPacker says after the deadline the Kingston post office will start returning mail that does not have the correct E-911 address to the sender.
