PAULS VALLEY, Okla. (AP) - A regional cattle-raisers group has scheduled a meeting to discuss livestock thefts in the area.

Monday's event at the Don W. Reynolds Recreational Center is sponsored by the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association , a trade group that represents tens of thousands of ranchers and beef producers who primarily live in Texas and Oklahoma.

A special ranger with the regional organization is expected to update ranchers on cattle thefts in the area and how they can better protect their livestock and equipment.

The event is free and open to the public.
