MELISSA, TEXAS -- A disturbance at Melissa High School put the school on lock down Wednesday afternoon.

Captain Kyle Babcock with Melissa Police says before school got out at 4:30 p.m., several juveniles got into an altercation. A third party involved heard a threat that involved a gun.

The school chose to go on lock down until police could respond and investigate the threat.

Babcock says no arrests or charges have been filed and they aren't looking into the incident any further.
