Memorial planned for Tulsa man killed in crash

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A memorial service is scheduled for next week for the Tulsa man killed in an Indiana plane crash alongside former Oklahoma quarterback Steve Davis.

According to Mark Griffith Memorial Funeral Home, services for 58-year-old Wes Caves will be 1 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Jenks.

Caves and Davis died Sunday when their plane crashed in a South Bend neighborhood. Two others on the plane were injured, along with one person on the ground. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Davis' funeral is also set for Monday.

According to his obituary, Caves loved Sooner football and "anything fast with an engine," including motorcycles and airplanes. Caves' obituary says he "left this earth doing what he loved."

Caves leaves behind a wife, two children and a granddaughter.
