OKLAHOMA -- Mercy hospitals has announced they will cut close to 300 jobs nationwide for restructuring.

No word whether any of the hospitals in our area will be affected.

The nonprofit, which has 40,000 employees across seven states says they've been consolidating and reorganizing support services in recent years.

The layoffs are expected to occur later this month.

It's not yet known at which locations the jobs will be cut from.

Mercy operates hospitals and clinics in Ardmore, Marietta, Tishomingo, Ada and Healdton.
