SHERMAN, TX -- Grayson County's United Way campaign kicked off with a bang Saturday.
More than 600 people participated in Cigna and United Way's Hustle for Health 5K and 10K run in Sherman.
The race is in its 4th year, and organizers say the event keeps growing.
The race marks the beginning of United Way's campaign to raise funds for several local non-profit groups.
Sherman Mayor Cary Wacker says it also is designed to promote fitness and healthy living.
"This is a really important piece of what we do in a community to ensure well-being for all our citizens," Wacker said.
Cigna had the largest team, with more than 100 people. And they donated $100 to local non-profits for each person on their team.
