BRYAN COUNTY, OK - A suspect is in custody this afternoon in a Bryan County murder investigation after a man was found shot last night on the Blue River Bridge.

OSBI spokesperson Gary Perkinson says 22 year-old Mark Anthony Neal, has been arrested and booked into the Bryan County jail for the murder.

Sunday night, the Bryan County Sheriff's office responded to a 911 call after 10 p.m., saying an adult male was found shot near Blue, Oklahoma.

Officers responded to Old Highway 70, where the man, whom OSBI has now identified as Frank Owens was found shot on the Blue River bridge.

Owens was rushed to the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant, where sheriff's officials say he later died.

Monday, the Bryan County Sheriff's office, U.S. Marshals and OSBI were interviewing possible suspects and conducting interviews to find out Neal's motive.

"They'll take the evidence that was collected at the crime scene, along with any other evidence that might have been collected, as a result of this arrest. They will also take what they learned in those interviews that agents have conducted and they'll put all that together to get a clearer picture of how this homicide occurred," said OSBI spokesperson Gary Perkinson.

OSBI and the Sheriff's office say they don't know if the two men knew each other or what led to the murder, but that's what they are continuing to investigate.
