CARTER COUNTY, OK -- We have learned the names of two people killed in a crash on State Highway 7 in Carter County Friday morning.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 17-year-old Rally Beam, of Sulphur, and 52-year-old Ronnie Percell, of Ratliff City, died when their vehicles collided around 8:30 just west of Hennepin. Troopers say Beam was driving a car east on State Highway 7 and Percell was traveling west, in a semi, when Beam crossed the center line striking the semi.
OHP says during the next 4-6 weeks troopers will interview witnesses and complete an investigation into the exact cause of the collision. Troopers say they will look into the pre-trip events of the operators, and once toxicology results come in a report will be sent to the District Attorney for their review to determine what, if any criminal charges should be filed.
