New agreement reached on Ardmore Airpark development

ARDMORE, OK -- New agreements on the development of the Ardmore Airpark were reached at a city commissioners meeting Monday night.

Mayor Martin Dyer says commissioners consented to lease agreements between the Ardmore Development Authority and Sovereign Oklahoma Development.

Dyer says the amendments will help move project plans along more quickly and under the new lease city officials will hold more control over the future of the airpark on the land that's leased by sovereign oklahoma development.

Dyer says they hope the airpark will eventually be a transportation hub.

Dyer added, "It's a step towards getting some development done out there. There hasn't been any. There's a lot of empty space at the airpark that hasn't been developed."

Dyer says in the next few months they'll also be reviewing a master plan for development.
