HOWE, TX -- Two men are now behind bars after Howe Police seized 10 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop Monday.
Jeffery Banks and Brandon Bowen were arrested for possession of marijuana greater than 5 pounds.
Just after 3 o'clock, Howe Police responded to a call of a possible drunk driver on Highway 75.
When they pulled the SUV over officers say they detected a strong odor of marijuana.
Police searched the vehicle and found a duffle bag with two large bricks of the drug.
Sgt. Michael Hill says this is the largest quantity of marijuana he's seized in his entire career.
Hill said, "that's just an awesome find. I've had several colleges call me, just congratulations. Good bust. This is something we attempt to try to find, as much as we can get it off the street, but to come across something like this. It's nice."
Hill says Banks and Bowen were headed to Sherman from Dallas.
He says the marijuana is worth around $3,500 dollars.
