ATOKA COUNTY, OK -- New information has been released about a school bus accident in Atoka County Wednesday.

OHP says the bus was going down Coal Creek Road in the rain when the driver stepped on the brakes, forcing them to lock up and causing the bus to crash into the tree.

Troopers say there were 16 students on the bus age 13 and under, none of whom were seriously injured.

The driver was ticketed for failing to negotiate a curve in the road.

Atoka Public Schools Superintendent Dwayne Noble says the administration is looking into the issue and it's a personnel matter.
