BONHAM, TX -- Bonham kids have a new and improved place to play soccer.

This morning, Bonham Mayor Roy Floyd cut the ribbon and announced the opening of the soccer complex.

There are five soccer fields and a concession stand. The city was able to construct the fields with the help of a $225,000 Community Development Block grant from the Texas Department of Agriculture.

More than 150 children are involved in soccer in Bonham. The new fields are sure to help them out.

"We think it's something that's great for our kids. It helps them develop physically and keeps us slimmer. I need to get out there and do it myself. So, it's something that's great for our children," Mayor Floyd said.
