New Senior Center opens in Colbert
COLBERT, TX-- The Chickasaw Governor... along with many other leaders from the area were excited to celebrate the grand opening of the Panola Senior Center.

COLBERT, TX-- The Chickasaw Governor... along with many other leaders from the area were excited to celebrate the grand opening of the Panola Senior Center.
This is all part of the Chickasaw Nation's efforts to improve the overall quality of life.
The center is a place for senior citizens to be able to enjoy each other's company, while eating, exercising, and crafting.
Last year, almost 150,000 meals were served to seniors at the 12 different centers located in Oklahoma.And in 2012 they are adding three more centers and expect to serve even more meals.
"I'm just so excited that we have this building here and it's just wonderful. I couldn't wait to get ready this morning to get down here. I appreciate it so much. It's really really nice. I can't say enough words about it. I'm so thankful for it," Vera Hodge said.
The center officially opens Monday for activities.

Austin College Students Compete in Wheelchair Basketball Tourney
