GRAYSON COUNTY, TX -- New regulations regarding Grayson County homeowners with aerobic septic systems will go into effect Thursday, September 1, 2011.

Grayson County’s order concerning On-Site Sewage Disposal Systems requires that all owners of single-family residences using Aerobic Septic Systems are required by law to either 1) have a maintenance contract with an approved on-site sewage facility (OSSF) contractor or 2) inspect and maintain their aerobic system themselves (if homeowner has completed an approved OSSF course).

These requirements are evidenced by submitting a filing fee of $20 with either a signed maintenance contract or a certificate of self-maintenance (attach proof of completion of self-maintenance training course) to:

Grayson County Health Department – OSSF Division
205 North Houston Avenue, Denison, Texas 75021

If you have questions, please contact the OSSF Division at 903-813-4253.
