Newspaper: 11,000 gamblers banned from Okla. casinos
TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Officials report that about 11,000 people are banned from casinos and gaming centers throughout Oklahoma because of compulsive gambling.

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Officials report that about 11,000 people are banned from casinos and gaming centers throughout Oklahoma because of compulsive gambling.
The Tulsa World reported the numbers Monday (http://is.gd/UdprYG ) after seeking figures from tribes that have gaming compacts with the state.
The number includes people who have been involuntarily banned by casinos and those who chose to ban themselves over concerns of compulsive gambling.
Gaming compacts between the state and Indian nations require tribes to keep a list of banned individuals, as well as post notices at casinos that list the warning signs of compulsive gambling.
Mark Fulton, the chief operating officer for Cherokee Nation Entertainment, says people who are banned who try to visit casinos could face criminal trespassing complaints.
