BENNINGTON, OKLAHOMA -- The man accused of gunning two men down in his Bennington home last Thursday will not face murder charges, according to Bryan County Sheriff Ken Golden.

Rodney Andrews allegedly shot and killed 70-year-old Gary Robison Senior and 36-year-old Brad Rader when they confronted Andrews in his home.

Sheriff Golden says a woman claims Andrews assaulted her, which is likely why Robison and Rader went to confront Andrews.

Golden says because this was a home invasion, Andrews will not be charged with murder.

He attributes that to Oklahoma's "stand your ground" law, which allows residents to defend themselves in their own home.
