ODOT begins construction in Carter County

ARDMORE, OK--Construction begins today to widen State Highway 199 near Dickson. ODOT said they are widening the road from two lanes to four.

The project will begin about a mile west of US 177 and Traffic will continue on 199 until the new eastbound lanes are complete. Then, traffic will be moved to the eastbound lanes while the westbound lanes are constructed.

ODOT is asking drivers to use caution and they said the 6.2 million dollar project should be finished by December.
