DURANT, OKLAHOMA -- Motorcyclists are gearing up to learn about safety.

OHP and the Masons of Rising Star Lodge of Calera are inviting motorcyclists to spend a day riding with them, learning safe motorcycle maneuvers and braking.

On November 3rd, OHP will open their driving range to riders, so they can practice exercises on their bikes and hear from safety experts.

"Safety first. You know, it's a dangerous activity, but it's a lot of fun. There's a right and a wrong way to do it and these guys promote the right way," David Cathey, with the Masons of Rising Star Lodge of Calera, said.

Motorcyclists from Texas and Oklahoma can participate. Registration is free.

Registration opens Wednesday at http://www.ohpsaferiders.com/
