COAL COUNTY, OK - An Oklahoma City woman died Wednesday in a three-vehicle collision in Coal County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a semi truck was traveling on State Highway 3 about 2 miles west of U.S. Highway 75 just before 9 a.m. Wednesday when it went left of center, striking a vehicle hauling a horse trailer, then another vehicle on the shoulder.

The driver of the third vehicle, 52-year-old Rebecca Ford, was pinned inside her vehicle for about 45 minutes until first responders were able to extract her from the vehicle. She was taken to Coalgate Hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

The driver of the second vehicle and the semi driver were not injured. No vehicles were carrying passengers.

Troopers report the semi driver's condition as "sleepy," and say driver inattention played a role in the crash.
