Officials reveal how Bales got out of Mack Alford

STRINGTOWN, OK - Mack Alford Correctional Center officials say the convicted murderer who escaped last week climbed over the 14-foot razor wire fence.

Officials say Jason Bales escaped around 6:30 last Monday morning. He was at his on-site job...which was still inside the fence. Officials believe he was able to slip away from the guards because it was dark.

The Department of Corrections is assessing and adding more razor wire to weak spots in prison fences across the state.
