OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma National Guard says about 100 soldiers with the 1245th Transportation Company are scheduled to return from deployment to Afghanistan.

The Guard's public affairs office says a welcome home ceremony is scheduled for Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Norman.

The 1245th deployed to Afghanistan in December where the soldiers were responsible for transporting supplies throughout their area of operation along with providing security for themselves and contracted civilians.

The unit is headquartered in McAlester and is a medium truck company.
