Okla. attorney general issues consumer alert

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt is warning for Oklahoma consumers and business owners to beware of letters sent by a records service that claims to file government forms for a $125 fee.

Pruitt said in a news release that letters from a company called Corporate Records Service to consumers and businesses says the company will complete what it calls an "Annual Minutes Records Form" for a fee of $125.

Pruitt says the letters appear to be from the state's Secretary of State's Office and claims that the form is required.

Pruitt says such a form is not required in Oklahoma. He says any such letter received by an Oklahoman should be reported to the attorney general's public protection unit.
