Roads will remain treacherous from snow and sleet until mid-day, when sunshine shroud melt most of it away. Snow is likely to remain on the ground until Friday.
SMITHVILLE, Okla. (AP) - Authorities say a 51-year-old Oklahoma man has died after his riding lawnmower struck a culvert and overturned.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the incident happened Wednesday night near Smithville in McCurtain County. According to a preliminary report, Mark Baggs of Battiest was mowing with a John Deere tractor when the vehicle struck a roadside culvert and overturned.
Authorities say the tractor landed on top of Baggs, pinning him beneath. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
