LAMAR COUNTY, Texas - Two Oklahoma residents were busted for credit card fraud in a multi-state investigation.

"Well over $13,000 is what we have total so far, it could be more." said Lamar County Sheriff Scott Cass.

Monday Hugo Police detectives arrested 36-year-old Kevin Stout and 31-year-old Latonya Hargrove on felony theft charges out of Lamar County.

Hugo Police ran a search warrant at a residence in Hugo where they found several credit cards, receipts and a device used to make credit cards.

Sheriff Cass says the two used fake credit cards to purchase trailers, tires, an ATV, gas and auto parts in Texas and Oklahoma.

Investigators from the Lamar, Hunt and Choctaw counties as well as, the Northeast Texas Auto Theft Task force are investigating numerous other purchases related to this investigation where over $13,000 dollars of property has been purchased with one or more of these presumed fictitious credit cards.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with any information in this case to contact the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division or your local law enforcement agency.
