PJC awarding $1M in scholarships

PARIS, TX-- Paris Junior College has reached an all-time high for the number of scholarships they'll be able to give out.

Beginning in August, PJC will have $1M in scholarships available for students, up by $400,000 from last year, thanks to the PJC Memorial Foundation.

The college has awarded over 400 scholarships this year, with more to be awarded this summer. With the higher allotment, PJC will be able to award around 800 scholarships next academic year.

"Hopefully this will help us get more students into Paris Junior College," said President Dr. Pamela Anglin. "Over the last few years you see more and more students needing help to be able to go to college, so hopefully we will be able to make sure this happens."

Scholarships will range from $250 to $2,000 per semester.
