Paramedic Awaiting Liver Transplant Gets Help From Community Blood Drive
ARDMORE, OK--An Ardmore man who helps others for a living got some help of his own today thanks to his community.

ARDMORE, OK--An Ardmore man who helps others for a living got some help of his own today thanks to his community.
Paramedic Gary Loard is awaiting a liver transplant and needs at least 40 units of blood for his operation. The Oklahoma Blood Institute held a blood drive for Loard today.
And for every unit donated he will receive a unit in return. Even people who aren't Loard's blood type can still help because Loard will receive financial credit for those units to help with medical expenses.
The blood drive was from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. today at the spine transformation office located off of 10th Avenue Northwest in Ardmore.
