PARIS, TX - The superintendent of Paris ISD says a lawsuit with their original contractor has been finalized after a 4 year legal battle.

Paul True-ll says Natex Architectural Firm was originally hired to build the new paris high school, the athletic stadium, and carry out renovations on several other schools back in 2008.

True-ll says the firm failed to meet the time limits given in their original agreement and chose to cancel their contract.

At this week's trustees meeting, True-ll said after all court costs are considered the district will receive a net gain of 245-thousand dollars from the company. Which he says will go to the district's general fund.
