PARIS, TX-- Officials are investigating a hotel fire in Paris Saturday night.
It happened just before 10 P.M. at the Quality Inn, in the 3500 block of Northeast Loop 286.
Fire Marshall Dale Maberry says when crews arrived they found a mechanical room fully engulfed in flames. He says the fire left heavy damage to 6 of the 62 rooms at the hotel.
Only 8 units were being used at the time of the fire. Those occupants were relocated to another hotel. Maberry says the hotel will be out of business for several weeks until the damages are repaired.
A firefighter received minor burns while battling the blaze.
Firefighters were on scene for about four hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but fire officials say they don't think it's suspicious at this time.
