PARIS, TX - Paris ISD has a new superintendent.
After a closed meeting Monday the Paris school board announced former Saltillo ISD Superintendent, Paul Jones will be their new leader.
Paul Jones says,"I feel great, Paris is a great school district. It has a great reputation of being one of the leaders of Northeast Texas. I just feel glad and honored to be apart of this school district."
Jones started off his career as an elementary school teacher in Greenville and served as the superintendent for Saltillo ISD for 11-years.
The school board started their search in October with over 40 candidates.
Jones officially starts Tuesday.
