Paris woman arrested for allegedly assaulting an officer

PARIS, TX -- A Paris woman is behind bars after police say she assaulted one of their officers.

Police say just before ten Wednesday night, 24-year old Rebecca Ginn was arrested after officers responded to a welfare concern call in the 200-block of NW 24th Street.

Officers say Ginn appeared to be intoxicated and possibly on some type of narcotics when she assaulted the complainant. She then verbally threatened an officer and as the officer attempted to cuff her, she assaulted him.

Ginn is charged with family violence assault, assaulting a public servant and resisting arrest.
