DAVIS, OK - Two pedestrians were hit by a car last night in Davis, Oklahoma, leaving one woman fighting for her life in an Oklahoma City hospital.

Davis Police Chief Dan Cooper says a 53-year-old man was driving down East Main Street just after 7 p.m. when he saw 63-year-old woman lying in the grass on the side of the road. When he got out to check on her, she ran into the road and both were hit by an oncoming car.

Police say they do not know if the man went after the woman or if he was pulled into the roadway.

He was treated and released at a local hospital. She was flown to OU Medical Center's Intensive Care Unit, where her condition is unknown.

Police say all parties are cooperating in their investigation, and that no names will be released until their investigation is complete.
