COLBERT, Okla. -- A drunk driver caused an accident that temporarily shut down part of U.S. 69 in Colbert around 3:30 Thursday morning, according to Colbert police.
Erin Taylor, a woman in her early 30's, of Denison reportedly had a blood alcohol content of .27 at the time of the accident.
Police say Taylor was traveling on the right northbound lane of the highway when her car swerved into a semi in the left lane, just before the Oklahoma rest stop.
When the driver of the semi pulled over, Taylor's car then slammed into the back of the truck and apparently spun around.
She was ejected during the crash and was found laying in the middle of the roadway.
Taylor was taken to Texoma Medical Center and treated and released.
The unidentified driver of the semi was uninjured. His truck, however, had to be towed from the scene due to damage.
The accident temporarily closed both lanes of the northbound U.S. 69 in that area, but one lane quickly reopened and allowed traffic to flow.
Police say the highway completely reopened after about an hour.
