Renovated Ada armory rededicated

ADA, OK -- $3 million dollars worth of renovations to the Ada Armory called for a re-dedication Thursday.

The Oklahoma National Guard conducted the ceremony for the 37-year-old facility that hadn't received any major upgrades since it's construction in 1976 and had failed to meet building code requirements.

Guard officials say the renovations include general maintenance improvements, safety upgrades like fire suppression and alarms, as well as energy conservation.

They also say the facility will now meet code requirements for the Americans with Disabilities Act.
