SAINT JO, TX -- Days after a Saint Jo police officer is fired, the Chief has quit.

Billy Reynolds says he is displeased with the way the city handled the firing of officer Gary Amburn.

Amburn came under fire recently, after two controversial arrests. Last week, residents expressed their concerns about Amburn and Reynolds to the city council.

Reynolds says Amburn's firing was not investigated properly and because of that, Reynolds himself can no longer work for them.

Lance Provost has been named the Interim Chief.
