PARIS, Texas - The Salvation Army of Paris is collecting school supplies until August 9th for local children in need.
Core Officer Nicholas Hutchinson says they might not be able to meet their goal.
"We've got about 80 that are in need now and looking at the supply boxes at the various locations, I'd say we are probably not going to be able to meet that need unless donations pick up." said Hutchinson.
The Salvation Army is seeking school supplies for students Pre-K to high school. Those needing supplies can sign their children up at the Salvation Army office on West Kaufman. Distribution of school supplies will be on a first come first serve basis August 21st and 22nd.
Donation bins in Paris are located at Walgreens, Kroger, Wal-Mart, Big Lots and Advance America.
