Sheriff's office busts pair of serial burglars

GRAYSON COUNTY, TX -- The Grayson County Sheriff's office arrested two men accused of burglarizing at least 9 homes.

Jeffery Hammon, 21, and a 17-year-old male allegedly stole more than $8,000 worth of property.

The Sheriff's office said the men also admitted to stealing Christmas gifts from under Christmas trees.

The Sheriff's office recovered most of the stolen property and returned it to owners.

But they believe several other people are involved. They hope to have arrest warrants for the others soon.

Both men remain in Grayson County jail. The 17-year-old on a $45,000 bond, and Hammon on a $90,000 bond.
