GRAYSON COUNTY, TX -- The Sherman-Denison Metropolitan Planning Organization met with the residents Thursday night to discuss their metropolitan transportation plan.
The organization met at the Senior Citizens Center to discuss future transportation needs to better serve residents of Grayson County.
A presentation was shown to identify different demographic changes expected to happen in the next 30 years.
Members say community input is important when discussing transportation plans for the future.
Director Karl Welzenbach said, "We want to make sure we're serving the public that you're meant to be serving. They have issues, needs, and observations that would be very useful to us as we develop a long range plan. This includes roadway improvements."
The next meeting will be May 21st at the Sherman area TxDOT office.
