Sherman Planning and Zoning reject cell tower at town center proposal

SHERMAN, TX -- Sherman Planning and Zoning rejected a proposal for a cell tower in town center.

The area doesn't get 4g coverage.

The city recently adopted ordinances allowing for towers and antennas but the free standing cell tower, Verizon suggested, broke several of those ordinances.

There is a 70 ft height limit the tower would have exceeded...

It was also going to be too close to the surrounding structures.
