SHERMAN, TX -- A man police say robbed a store then asked officers for a ride is headed to prison.
22-year-old Lance McFarland, of Sherman, pleaded guilty to two cases of aggravated robbery and was sentenced to seven years for each.
Sherman police say in August McFarland came up to them at the Exxon just off Highway 75 and Lamar asking for a ride.
The officer recognized his tattoos as those of a Denison robbery suspect.
They arrested McFarland, who they say confessed to the Denison robbery and also admitted to robbing the Sherman Get and Go convenience store at gunpoint earlier that night.
