Sherman Fire Department gets new ambulance bus

By  |

SHERMAN, TX - The North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council used federal money to pay for the bus, which didn't cost the City of Sherman anything.

The Sherman Fire Department was notified in July, and with the approval of the city manager and city council, they will now house the ambulance bus.

It can hold up to 24 patients, and is fully-equipped with statewide communications and remote EKG monitoring equipment.

The AmBus will be licensed as a mobile intensive-care unit, and will be utilized for regional and state emergencies as well.
