Sherman High School Geocaching Project

SHERMAN, TX - Sherman High School students got to get outside and participate in a pretty interesting scavenger hunt Thursday, thanks to a grant from the Sherman Education Foundation.

Ninth grade world geography teacher, Teresa Dooley used the grant to purchase 12 hand held GPS systems. Today the students used them in a process called geocaching.

Geocaching is the use of geographical coordinates and a GPS to find hidden items. Mrs. Dooley thinks this is an excellent teaching aid for her students.
