Silo Jr. High baseball coach appears in Bryan County court

SILO, OK -- The Silo junior high baseball coach accused of pegging players with baseballs appeared in court Thursday morning for a preliminary hearing.

Roy West is on administrative leave since being charged with 7 felony counts of injury to a child last month.

West turned his back to our cameras this morning while waiting to head into court.

An arrest affidavit states that West struck a child in the back, legs, arms or torso for quote "inadequate performance"

West did not take a plea deal but instead has a preliminary hearing set for December 18th.
