SILO, OK-Silo's $2.3 million school bond failed Tuesday for the fourth time.

Even though 54 percent of the voters supported the bond, it still failed to win the 60 percent supermajority it needed to pass.

Superintendent Dr. Bill Caruthers said the loss is disappointing, but they received more votes than in past elections. He said, now, they'll get a committee together to figure out how to add the extra classrooms they need and how to improve school safety without the $2.3 million the bond would have provided.
